Our background in both Business intelligence (BI) and Management Information (MI) has provided the company with a distinct advantage when designing and implementing new leading edge operational systems.
Operational systems are generally used to process the day-to-day transactions of an organisation. These systems are designed in a manner that processing of day-to-day transactions is performed efficiently and the integrity of the transactional data is preserved. Whereas BI and MI are a set of methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies for analysing data and presenting actionable information to help executives, managers and other corporate end users make informed business decisions.
Historically these two areas have remained largely distinct but now with the availability of superior software development frameworks, more powerful hardware and inexpensive storage, we are now able to design and build new state of the art innovative operational systems with embedded management information.
We have also embraced the concept of Master Data Management which enables the company to develop flexible web based applications requiring minimal maintenance.
Although we have experience across many technologies and platforms, we remain committed to our two main specialist areas – the development of data warehousing and the development of bespoke operational systems. Our core skills remain around the SAS platform and the Microsoft application development toolkit comprising C#, the .NET Framework and the range SQL Server products.
