South African Research Management System (SARMS)

SARMS is a niche product that has been designed to co-ordinate all research activities in South Africa through a single system for the country. It is designed to be used by Institutions of Higher Learning, Private and Public Research Institutions. The solution is more than just a database of research activities in the country; it serves to elevate the status of research in the country by networking and showcasing our research talent. It expedites the process of applying for, securing funding and obtaining ethics approvals for research through its built in workflow capabilities. Finally, the system enables the process of translating research into commercial products via the technology transfer module in the system.

Guqula (means to Transform)

Gugula is a bespoke system designed to enable companies to capture information pertaining to the BEE scorecards towards their BEE level certification. This information is then submitted to a SANAS accredited Verification Agency for verification of the information provided. Workflows have been built in to ensure segregation of duties. In future versions, the system can be used as a tool to ensure that companies transform by guiding companies through a planning process to achieve the correct levels required for change.

Vumela (means to Approve)

Vumela Diesel Rebates Reporting System is the solution for mines, farms and fishing industries who need to claim the fuel levy from the South African Revenue Services (SARS), effortlessly and expediently. The system consumes data from various operational systems, detects anomalies and applies business rules to provide the required reports to enable and confirm the claim. Built in the cloud with latest technologies, each client’s data is kept secure, backed up and accessible from anywhere via any internet enabled device.

Naxian

The Naxian Product set was developed in the early 1990’s before Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems became widely available in the market. The product has been superseded by multi-dimensional databases developed by the large software vendors such as Cognos, Business Objects, SAS, Microsoft, Oracle and others.

Vega Framework

Government regulation, introduced after the 2008 financial crisis, has forced banks to be subjected to far more onerous restrictions and compliance. These regulations were good news for customers, as it aimed to create market transparency between the banking institutions and the individuals & corporations that they conducted business with. Unfortunately for the banks, it meant implementing new, robust systems to cater for both the current and all future regulations and required replacing the legacy applications handing customer and account information.

Vega is a flexible framework developed to address this problem. It is a fully digital onboarding system for capturing all customer information and for the opening of new banking products. The product is built using the latest technology with Master Data Management (MDM) and a dynamic user interface. The application is completely maintainable by the business user via an interface to the MDM.
